Sports can empower the world

For our governments (national and state levels), sports are just about winning a few medals in the Olympics and Asian Games. So we spend billions on getting a couple of medals in the Olympics rather than spending anything on the development of the sports industry in total.
Most parents do not allow their kids to engage in any kind of sporting activity due to the fear that playing will spoil their academic performance.
The majority of sports parents expect a government job from their kids’ sports achievements, or at least grade marks!!
There is no meaning in blaming our administrators for their ignorance or negligence. There is no meaning in blaming our parents for not allowing their kids to play or allowing them to play for a government job. The following picture shows the real power of sports. SMRI is working to help India explore the real power of sports.

WHAT IS SPORTS?

Lessons from Formula 1 Racing to Minimise ‘Causalities’ due to Financial Disasters

Learning from F1 Racing

Formula 1, the world’s premier racing championship, is one of the riskiest sports due to its speed, precision, and unpredictability. Every second counts — one small mistake can mean disaster. Business is no different. It moves fast, involves high stakes, and one wrong decision can lead to huge losses, as seen in the cases of Atlas Ramachandran (Atlas Jewellery) and V. G. Siddhartha (Café Coffee Day).

SMRI suggests creating a ‘Safety Net in Business’, just like the safety systems in Formula 1, to protect and support business promoters from financial collapse.
